Work In Progress

Class 57 (57/3) Diesel-Electric Locomotive

Project Details: The title says it all! :o)

Status:

  • Cab complete
  • Engine sounds complete
  • Track sounds in place.
  • Performance tweaks and permission to use other sounds required.

Info: Re-engined and refurbished Class 47s, used by Freightliner, Porterbrook and Virgin Trains. Called "Thunderbirds" by the latter, due to the role they play - wait on standby until a train fails then go out and rescue it!

Notes/Credits:

This version is based on the Virgin Trains Class 57/3.
Thanks to Simon Townsend for cab photo and Craig Allan (

Thanks to David White (
