West Highland Railway Line and North Clydeside Electrics (1994) - Work In Progress

By Craig Allan (www.northern-railways.co.uk) and Robert Glass (UPDATED: 11th February 2004)

The "West Highland Railway Line and North Clydeside Electrics" is set in 1994 and covers the line operated by diesel trains from Glasgow Queen Street-High Level to Westerton where it merges with an electrified line from Glasgow Queen Street Low-Level.

The line is electrified from Westerton to Craigendoran Junction, with electrified branches off to Milngavie and Balloch, operated by trains between Queen Street Low-Level and these destinations.

At Craigendoran Junction, the electrification branches away to the West and terminates at Helensburgh Central and the non-electrified line continues North to Helensburgh Upper and Crainlarich. At Crainlarich, the line splits in two. One part heads out West to Oban and the other part continues on North to Fort William and Mallaig.

The West Highland Line terminates at Mallaig.

No expected release date can be given yet!

Glasgow Subway

"Rush Hour"

It's Morning Rush Hour on the Glasgow Subway and your job is to move the commuters about the city.

You've left the carriage sheds and are sitting at the controls of your train at the reversing point outside Broomloan Road Depot, ready to descend into the underground tunnels with ECS to Ibrox. It's here the run officially begins as you start on an hour long journey, twice around the Inner Circle, transporting Glasgow's commuters to their destinations until you reach Govan for the second time. Your public duty ends there, then it's back up to Broomloan Road reversing point with the empty stock!
